A beautiful Viking period bronze bracelet, dating C. 10th-11th century AD. The bracelet is engraved with symmetrical floral decorations.
It was a piece of jewelry worn by men and women in the Viking Age, which is roughly from the 10th to the 11th century.
This bracelet was not only a decorative piece but also had symbolic and practical purposes. It was often given as a gift or worn to show social status, wealth, and power. It was also believed to have protective and magical properties and was sometimes inscribed with various symbols for this purpose.
The designs of bracelets were diverse and varied reflecting the different regions and cultures within society. Some bracelets were simple and plain, while others were intricately decorated with animal or geometric motifs, knotwork, or mythological creatures.
